Hello everyone!
I just wanted to reach out with a hiatus update… though I confess it’s not good news.
Essentially, I have every intention of finishing Ashes to Ashes someday. But that’s the tricky part — someday. I really have no idea when that day will be.
Parenthood has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me, but it’s really made the time and motivation for writing and screenshotting essentially go out the window. Even when I do have free time, I find myself wanting to either rest or do something mindless and fun (not that writing and screenshotting aren’t fun! But they take so much mental energy).
I know this update feels a bit pointless but I wanted to let everyone know that I’m alive and that I truly and honestly don’t know when A2A will resume. But I really hope to complete it one day. (Please note that this absolutely isn’t a “hey this story is officially abandoned” post by any means, just an apology and a “hey, it’s been almost two years and at this point it could be two more before we pick back up” 😬)
I am so sorry for letting everyone down with this indefinite hiatus. I sincerely appreciate the love and support over the past several years of this story and will forever be so grateful. Sometimes life just gets in the way.
Much love to all of you ❤
I feel you right there. I’m just beginning to come out of that hole now that my son is approaching his third birthday. Aaand another is on the way, due January. I have no idea if I can continue writing through the new baby time. 😀 I hope you and your child are well and when you’re ready, we’ll be there for you and keep reading whatever you write!

Parenthood definitely puts everything in a whole new light! Little ones take a lot of energy, but watching them grow and learn is so worth it. ❤️❤️❤️. We’ll be here if and when you can make it back.

Take care of yourself first. The story can come later! It just gives us more time to re-read it all 😂

Don’t worry about it! Taking care of a child is no joke! I help my brother and his fiancé out since we live together! I love my nephew to pieces! He was born last December! But I’d be lying if I didn’t say it took a tole on my brother and his fiancé being parents for the first time which is why I help out as much as I can!
Besides whoever wants to finish Ashes to Ashes will wait till it finishes. Whenever that maybe! Hope everything is going well for you the baby and your partner!❤️

Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ I’m glad you understand (and congrats on your nephew!) I so appreciate how long you’ve supported A2A and all the hysterical and insightful comments you’ve left over the years. Long live the Court of WitcHazards! ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for your update. It is so wonderful to hear that life has brought you to where you are now.
Your break is so understandable. Toddlers fill the whole world for the time it lasts.
Enjoy the time you are in right now. It won’t come back 💗
Today my children are 26 and 23 years old and I have all the time I want to read and write simlit. I will always be grateful that it was your stories that got me on that path 💗

Thanks for keeping us updated. And I totally get what you are feeling. Sometimes life gets a bit too much and even the things we like and enjoy suddenly feel like stress and obligation.
Please do take care of yourself and enjoy the time with your child. Maybe you will write some other time, maybe you will not, but in any case I have loved (and continue to love) your series and appreciate all the time you have spent with it.
I’m glad to hear you enjoy parenthood so much and wish all the best things to you and your family.
